Therapy Cabin

I started training as a counsellor in 2007 . I finished my integrative diploma in 2011.Since then I have been working in a variety of settings . Currently I work 2 days in Portsmouth University with students who suffer mental ill health and from home with individuals and couples.

I am passionate about unlocking the potential to heal in my clients and my approach is very strongly influenced by the findings of neuroscience and humanistic philosophy.

Neuroscience has contributed great insights into the working of the human brain and nervous system and we now know that we can change our brain right until old age, through a process called neuro plasticity.

We have also learned how adversely we are affected by traumatic events in our lives especially when they happen early in life. Therapy works by creating a safe environment where we can explore these patterns and find ways to learn new better ways of being that are more helpful to the here and now.

The humanistic approach puts the client in the center and trusts in our ability to heal .
